William John Edgar-Cordova Hotel /Restaurant Manager In loving memory of his sparkling Irish blue eyes, keen wit, white bear(oso blanco)hugs, sharp humor, and strong sense of friendship and loyalty. Born on February 27, 1963 in Columbus, GA. He met an untimely death on May 24, 2010. He grew up as an "army brat" in Tampa, FL, Norfolk, VA, Greenbelt, MD, Caguas, Puerto Rico, Ft. Huachuca and Tucson, AZ. The beloved son of Lt. Colonel (US ARMY Retired), William Frank Edgar and Awilda Isabel Cordova-Mejia de Edgar. Preceded in death by his biological mother Ann Geneva Griffin, and caring grandparents, Evelyn Garrett, William J. Edgar and Inez Mae Kauffman-Edgar and Angel Julio Cordova-Rivera and Isabel Mejia-Flores de Cordova. Survived by his beautiful daughter Samantha Danielle and sisters, Lisa Lynn, Ebbie and Donna. Also, nephews, Vance Edward, Christopher Adam and TJ. Bill will be mourned and remembered by loved ones. A 1981 graduate of Sahuaro High School and played Varsity Football as a kicker. He attended The College of Business at The University of Arizona. He served in the US Air Force from 1983-1987 and was stationed in AR and Korea. He attained the rank of Sergeant and honored the family military tradition. His most successful and rewarding athletic accomplishments were as a martial arts competitor and instructor. He competed at local, state and national competitions. He trained with Charles Allen and Chuck Norris and ultimately achieved a Black Belt with 5 degrees. His breath of experience in hotel and restaurant management and ownership included the Tucson Wildcat House, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Flying V, the Sheraton El Conquistador in Puerto Rico, Tucson Omni National Resort, Alliance Distributers, La Paloma Tucson Resort and Bob's Steak & Chop House.
