While attending Cardinal Mooney High School, he met the love of his life, Marcia Stiffler. The romance that started with senior prom played out every day throughout their 53 year marriage. \n\nTheir family grew over the years to include two daughters and then 5 grandchildren, all of whom benefited from Bill's love, generosity and zest for life.\n\nBill started his professional career by obtaining a degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University. After graduation, a job offer from General Electric soon followed. During his 20 year career with GE, Bill worked in the international division, traveling extensively around the world. He moved on to work for a small company that was later acquired by Emerson Electric. Ever looking for challenges for growth and mental stimulation, during this time he moved from engineering to work on contracts and legal issues.\n\nHis travel experience with work reflected a passion in general for experiencing new locations and situations. Between work and personal relocations, Bill and Marcia lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, upstate New York, Colorado, California, Arizona, and Mexico. They returned to Saddlebrooke to enjoy retirement with its ideal climate and their wonderful group of friends. Additionally, vacation plans involved family, friends, and travel. He was the ultimate host: entertaining, welcoming and always ready to turn the party up a notch!\n\nBill will be remembered by those that loved him as kind, understanding and intelligent. He had a joy for negotiation and a wickedly dry sense of humor. He worked hard, played hard and loved intensely. He left us too soon, but lived a full life of family, friends and accomplishments.
