Willie Frances Raymond

–

Oro Valley, Arizona

Willie Frances Raymond was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her battle with medical issues in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile, laughter and humility. She left this world on February 17, 2022 at age 84.

Willie was born on August 28, 1937 in Nolensville, Tennessee to Sherman and Carrie Robinson, the tenth of 14 brothers and sisters, growing up in the Christiana, Murfreesboro, Tennessee area. The many fond memories of her Tennessee youth always remained with her, and she was always happy to share these with all she knew.

She enjoyed embroidering and cross-stitching with passion, spending hours in her sewing room, on her chair, in her space, fabric, thread and needle in hand. If you listen closely, that may be the "pop" of a needle as it punctures the fabric and a thread whispering through the fabric.

During her time in the southwest, Willie developed her lifelong love of red and green chili. She was always ready for a bowl of red chili stew.

Willie is survived by her husband, Carlyle Raymond, sister Ellen and brother Tommy and by her three children, Myron Montoya and his wife Rose, Victor Montoya and his wife Tamara, Jennifer Camarena and her husband Manuel, four grandchildren, Diane, Scott, Antonio and James, three great-grandchildren, Esian, Shian and Abagael, and two great-great-grandchildren, Elias and Samuel, and children from her blended family with Carlyle, Ruth, Lora, Carlyle, Jr., Joseph, Gail and Jill.

Honoring Willie's wishes, she will return to Tennessee.
