Yvonne Rose Talano (75) was born on July 31, 1935 to Nicholas Timothy Doocy and Anna Marie Doocy (Lampe)in Swea City, Iowa and passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on March 1, 2011 at her home after a battle with Lung Cancer. in Tucson, Arizona. Yvonne was raised in Swea City, Iowa and graduated from Saint John's Catholic Church in Bancroft, Iowa. She graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 1956. At college, she met Her beloved husband, Theodore Alfred Talano ("The field opened open and our eyes met- we just knew"). They married and moved to Tucson, Arizona where they had three children: Theodore Alfred Talano, John Nicholas Talano, and Lisa Talano. Yvonne worked as an RN Scrub Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital from 1973 to 2001 (28 years). She loved her job, did it well "Practice made her perfect", Total Hips where her specialty, never complained verbally, and her co-workers were her friends and family. The stories of Mrs. T will never end nor die thus will always live in our hearts forever. Yvonne was Loved and Liked by all. A quiet, passive, giving, loving, selfless, loyal, honest, pure, classy, generous,... She enjoyed the Holidays when family and friends would come. More the visitors the more content and happier she was. She always welcome everyone with open arms "my door is always open." You could find her in front of the kitchen sink, stove, or washer/dryer. She regularly attended Church every Saturday evening. Her Faith and beliefs were very strong and she carried them throughout her life without a fault. She enjoyed reality (Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race), cooking (Rachel Ray, Paula Deen), sports (Football and Golf), Sunday's Country countdown, and game shows (Prices Right and Family Feud). She liked Country and her favorite singer was Julio Iglasis. Her favorite desert was a piece of pie preferably apple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yvonne is survived by: her Mother: Anna Marie Doocy of Lone Rock, IA. Her brothers: Richard of Lone, IA., David (Mary Ellen)of Bancroft, IA, Donald of Lone Rock, IA, and Arden Doocy of Lone Rock, IA. Three children: Theodore Alfred Talano of Tucson, AZ., John Nicholas Talano of Burt, IA., Lisa Talano of Tucson, AZ. Granddaughter Cassie Voller of Tucson, AZ., Grandsons: Theodore Talano (T.J.) Talano of Tucson, AZ., Matthew Talano of Greenbay, WI., and Hai Quang Dinh-Talano (Godson)of Amarillo, Tx. Great Granddaughter Alyce Vollmer, Joseph Vollmer, Nathianel, and Josielyna Talano. Sister-n-laws Molly Talano of Green Bay, WI. Mary Ellen Doocy of Bancroft, IA. and Marilyn Doocy of Fort Dodge, IA., and a Brother-n-law Randy Vogt of Oakdale, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father Nicholas Timothy Doocy, Brother Johnny Doocy, Sister-n-law Charlott Doocy, Brother Larry Doocy, and Sister Linda Vogt. Yvonne will always be remembered for her Love, Spirituality, Patience, Understanding, Strength, and Endless Giving without a question or reason.
